Many feel, we are currently, undergoing, at the very - least, a period, where, there appears, to be the most division, and polarization, in recent memory! While, a few extremists, may enjoy, their, hopefully, short - lived, power and influence, we must hope, somehow, there is some semblance of common sense, and less partisan behavior, often, which is divisive, and does not serve the greater good, and more focus on striving for, and achieving, a meeting - of - the - minds, for the greater good!
For this nation to succeed, a bipartisan approach, where we elect our most prominent political/ public leaders/ officials, based on their priorities, serving and representing, all, rather than only, a select - few!
We have witnessed, continuously, loss, of the public's FAITH, in our system, and these individuals, and, we need, and deserve better! With, that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it matters.
1. Facts; future; fairness; furnish; fruition; fate: The fate of this nation, and planet, may depend, largely, on whether we restore, public confidence, and trust! The public needs, and deserves to know and understand the facts, and the significant difference, between those, and an individual's opinions, political - spin, etc! We need fairness, as a key, to our paths, and actions! Before it's too late, we must begin, electing people, who are ready, willing, and able to furnish the most responsible, and responsive leadership, and bring it, to fruition!
2. Attitude; aptitude; attention; actions; aspirations: We need people, with a genuine, positive, can - do, attitude, and far - less, negativism, and populism, as well as a well - developed, relevant, aptitude, and skill - set, and are willing to pay keen attention, to the options and alternatives, and proceed, with actions, which enhance our aspirations, and hopes, instead of our fears, and biases/ prejudice!
3. Inspire; integrity; improvements; insights: How many elected officials, do you believe, actually, proceeded, with genuine, absolute integrity, instead of their own, personal/ political agenda, and self - interest? We need consistently, well - considered, viable improvements, and solutions, which inspire, our citizens, towards, making this nation, and world, better! Wouldn't it be better, if these officials, possessed the insights, to see the bigger - picture?
4. Trust/ truth; together; timely; time - tested: Why should the public trust anyone, who won't tell the truth? We need people, who prioritize, bringing us together, for the greater good, using common sense, in a well - considered, timely manner, and taking advantage of the smartest, relevant, sustainable, time - tested, knowledge, experience, expertise, judgment, and, hopefully, wisdom!
5. Humane; healing; head/ heart: Shouldn't a requirement, of public leading, be, proceeding, in a humane, healing way? To achieve this, requires, aligning one's emotional and logical components, in a head/ heart balance!
Wake up, America, and demand, those we elect, to serve and represent us, and all our Constitutional guarantees, do so, consistently? If they wish to regain our FAITH, this must become a requirement, and necessity!
